A Department of Justice pardon attorney who was among multiple high ranking DoJ officials fired on Friday said Monday her termination appears to be connected to her recommendation the day before that Mel Gibson’s gun ownership rights not be restored. Gibson, a staunch conservative and Trump ally, lost his gun rights in 2011 after being convicted of a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. (Federal law revokes such rights for people convicted of certain crimes.) He pled no contest to the charges as part of a settlement in which he avoided jail time. Liz Oyer was part of a DoJ committee…

Note: This story contains spoilers “The Righteous Gemstones” Season 4, Episode 1. From its very first episode, “The Righteous Gemstones” has had no shortage of top-tier actors behaving ridiculously. After all, this is a show that includes John Goodman as a Bible-thumping patriarch and Walton Goggins as a man named Uncle Baby Billy in its main cast. But Season 4’s premiere contains the show’s biggest cameo to date: 12-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper. “He came aboard the old-fashioned way. I sent him the script, and then he read it and liked it,” series co-creator, star and executive producer Danny McBride…

“Saturday Night Live” promised a night full of Lady Gaga in this week’s episode, but President Donald Trump’s antics and the return of Mike Myers as Elon Musk dominated the hilarious “SNL” cold open once again. After re-enacting the chaotic meeting between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week, the March 8 episode followed as James Austin Johnson’s Trump tried to bring a truce between Marco Rubio (Marcello Hernandez) and Elon Musk (Mike Myers) during a meeting in the oval office. The “SNL” meeting followed a New York Times report about a heated cabinet meeting…

Stephen Colbert repeatedly dragged Elon Musk during his monologue on Thursday’s “The Late Show,” joking at one point that “millions of young people” can’t stand him — “and those are just his kids.” Soon after, he mocked a sycophantic Republican congressman who penned a truly embarassing poem about Musk, by finishing the poem to more accurately describe the South African billionaire. Colbert got to these jokes talking about all the damage and chaos Musk is causing to the U.S. government — and by extention, the actual U.S., noting “Turns out randomly firing a lot of Americans isn’t that popular with…

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Paradise” Episode 8. President Bradford (James Marsden) was doing a lot of digging into Sinatra’s (Julianne Nicholson) running of the place when he got killed. The “Paradise” Season 1 finale answered the question of who killed Cal Bradford — and it’s someone who managed to sneak into the paradise without being on the list. Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) manages to track down the man in question after Sinatra told him the DNA didn’t match anyone registered in the community. Below,…

The star-filled “SNL” 50th special may be over and done with, but one comedy veteran stuck around 30 Rock for this week’s new episode of “Saturday Night Live”: Mike Myers. The comedian crashed Saturday’s cold open as Elon Musk, appearing in a sketch that reimagined Donald Trump and JD Vance’s now-infamous Oval Office meeting with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “I’d like to welcome President Zelenskyy to this incredible trap,” James Austin Johnson’s Trump said at the top of the sketch before making a dig at Zelenskyy’s casual attire. “I’d like to thank President Zelenskyy for dressing like casual Star Trek….

America has inarguably become a dumpster fire under the second Trump admnistration. And on Friday’s “Real Time,” Bill Maher lamented that “the man running this country” is “Hell bent on sowing chaos.” And the bigger problem? “Trump is doing nothing to stop him.” Maher was, of course, talking about Elon Musk. Before that, Maher talked about the terrifying Oval Office meeting between Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which largely consisted of Trump and Vance ambushing Zelenskyy with straight up Russian propaganda as they shouted at him and lied. Maher didn’t really focus on the…

It won’t shock you to read that Jimmy Kimmel is not a fan of Elon Musk, and so it was that during his monologue on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he had plenty of harsh words for Musk’s incompetence and corruption. Those comments came after a lengthy look at the madness permeating the Trump administration since he took office, which at the start of his monologue led Kimmel to declare, “so much has happened, so many great things. Inflation is up, unemployment is up, eggs cost more than iPhones, the measles is back, planes are running into each other. I’m getting…
