This week gave us an extremely eventful episode of HBO’s “Westworld,” full of revelations and confirmations of long-held fan theories. Among all that was the reveal of what exactly the Maze is. We’ve seen Ed Harris’ Man in Black search for it high and low all season, but “Westworld” hadn’t deigned to explain what it actually was. The son of Sex Pistols creator Malcolm McLaren burned his entire memorabilia collection worth $6-$12 million in protest Saturday, saying punk has no solutions for today’s generation and is “conning the young.” McLaren’s son, Joe Corre, piled clothes, rare recordings and other paraphernalia on a river barge on the 40th anniversary of the band’s debut single “Anarchy in the UK” and set it on fire. Just as superhero fans were hunkering down for the Thanksgiving holiday, Fox announced the release dates for two mystery Marvel movies. The first project will hit theaters on Nov. 2, 2018, with the second expected to land on Feb. 14, 2019. Next week an amazing event will take place to celebrate the award-winning work of men and women incarcerated in prisons across the country. PEN America’s Breakout: Voices from the Inside will take place. Actors and writers like Jeffrey Tobin will be reading submissions from its annual Prison Writing Contest. The event is hosted by the PEN Prison Writing Program.
