At this point, bloody black crime comedies in which escalating gore turns to slapstick are pretty much an indie genre all their own, descended from Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie and populated with sketchy losers whose misadventures land them in increasing trouble until most of them are dead and nobody – including the audience – survives unscathed or unpunished. Sentencing reform bills were introduced in both the House and Senate. Attorney General Eric Holder issued a directive to U.S. Attorneys not to bring charges that require mandatory minimums against low-level drug offenders. And President Obama engaged in an…

Hard foul or fake flop? That was the question Monday night during the Golden State Warriors/ Cleveland Cavaliers game when LeBron James took a dramatic fall to the floor after being fouled by rival Draymond Green. James had the ball and was making a quick transition break when, mid-court, Green reached in to make a steal and they collided. Thrown backwards, James dropped. The TNT color commentator noted, “This wasn’t that hard of a foul; it’s not going to end the world…. That’s just a regular foul.” Also Read: LeBron James, Antoine Fuqua Team for Muhammad Ali Documentary on HBO…

Should Judith Clark be Paroled? By Leon Friedman On December 30, 2016, Governor Andrew Cuomo granted clemency to Judy Clark, one of the participants in the Brinks armed car robbery in 1981 in Nanuet N.Y.
