Having repeatedly broadcast his intent to challenge the presidential election that he resoundingly lost to Joe Biden, Donald Trump is in need of all the lawyers he can get to file frivolous lawsuits making nonsensical claims about alleged voter fraud and not providing any evidence of said claims. And “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” invented just the law firm to help him destroy American democracy and pull off this coup attempt. Literally. The firm’s phone number is 1-800-COUP-COUP-CACHOO. This is all a joke, of course, originating in Tuesday’s edition of the cold open sketches that begin each new episode…

Popular TV food guy Alton Brown stepped in it a bit on Monday night when he admitted to all 4.5 million of his Twitter followers that he’s a lifelong Republican. Though has expressed in no uncertain terms a considerable disdain for Trump, Brown still calls himself a conservative even at this late stage in 2020. Brown tweeted: “I have voted Republican most of my life. I consider myself a conservative. I want to believe there are still ‘very fine’ people on both sides of the aisle but…if #GOP leaders don’t get their collective noses out of that man’s ass, we’re…

There’s an interesting idea for a movie in “Fatman,” which seeks to spin a bleak and wintry hitman tale into a deadpan dark Christmas comedy by making Santa Claus the target of that hired killer. It never makes it past the idea stage, unfortunately, since mixing these disparate genres together would require an absolute mastery of tone that the film can’t quite muster. Writers-directors Ian Nelms and Eshom Nelms (“Small Town Crime”) certainly can’t be faulted for ambition, but their big idea doesn’t make it all the way down the chimney. Despicable rich child Billy (Chance Hurstfield, “A Million Little…

It turns out “SNL” is just as thrilled about Donald Trump’s defeat in the 2020 presidential election as we imagine a lot of you reading this are, as the show kicked off the sixth episode of Season 46 with a cold open — clearly whipped together at the last possible minute judging from the costume work (this is a compliment) — that saw the parody versions of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris taking a big victory lap. Watch the full clip above now. The episode marked the beginning of the end of Alec Baldwin’s time as a regular “SNL” guest…

In what feels like a metaphor for the 2020 election, on Friday it was reported widely that Donald Trump’s chief of Staff Mark Meadows has tested positive for coronavirus and has apparently been trying to conceal this knowledge from the public for at least two days. Bloomberg, which broke the story, says it isn’t clear when Meadows tested positive, only that he informed people who work closely with him shortly after election night; the New York Times says Meadows tested positive on Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, at least 4 other White House employees have also tested positive. Of course, Meadows…
