$bp(“Brid_13882747”, {“id”:”21259″,”width”:”618″,”height”:”348″,”video”:”723136″}); It’s now been two months without any kind of direct presidential parody on “SNL.” Since the Christmas episode last year, the show hasn’t had anyone on to portray Joe Biden, nor has it brought back Maya Rudolph as Vice President Kamala Harris. And for those keeping track, that continued on the latest episode. Fortunately, this season’s MVP Aidy Bryant showed up to once again deliver a delightfully brutal parody of Ted Cruz, this time mocking the Texas senator for taking a Cancun vacation while his constituents froze, then lying about it, and then hiding behind his daughters to…

Jimmy Kimmel invented a new line of kids’ toys during his Friday episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” themed after Virginia Senator Amanda Chase, who made headlines this week after the state legislature put her office in a plexiglass box because she refused to wear a mask. Chase is currently leading the GOP governor’s race in her home state, though most of the Virginia voters have yet to decide on their nominee. Chase is an outspoken gun rights activist and was recently stripped of her committee duties in the Senate after saying the MAGA mob that attacked the Capitol and was…

Widely disliked Texas senator Ted Cruz has had an absolutely humiliating 24 hours, thanks to his incredibly not smart decision to take a luxury vacation to Mexico in the middle of the worst weather disaster to hit Texas in generations, try in vain to hide it, then after getting caught hiding, rhetorically, behind his daughters at the same time. Cruz has pretty much been the main character of Twitter ever since, with the vast majority of discourse devoted to either condemning his tone deaf disregard for his constituents, or dunking on him for it. But he found a way to…

On Wednesday, Rachel Maddow roasted Texas Republicans for trying to evade responsibility for the cold weather disaster currently afflicting the state by blaming the whole thing on wind power and other forms of renewable energy. Specifically, she pointed out how dumb that claim is considering there are far colder countries than the United States, using way more wind power than Texas, who don’t seem to have any problems at all. As millions are without power across Texas this week, leading conservative figures including Fox News’ Tucker Carlson have blamed Texas’ widespread power and gas outages on renewable energy, usually based…

Like a lot of people, Jimmy Kimmel saw Donald Trump’s petulant statement dissing Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday, and in his opening monologue on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he dismissed the whole thing as a “dumb version” of “The Lord of the Rings.” First, Kimmel dinged McConnell for trying “to have it both ways this weekend,” first by voting to acquit Donald Trump despite the overwhelming proof that he is guilty of fomenting a deadly sedition riot, and then attempting to condemn Trump for doing so right after. “Basically saying, ‘Donald Trump is guilty of all…
