George Holliday, Man Who Filmed Rodney King Beating, Dies of COVID-19
George Holliday, a Los Angeles plumber who filmed the 9-minute video if LAPD officers beating Rodney King, died Monday of COVID-19, the Associated Press reported. He was 61. According to TMZ, Holliday had been battling the disease since early August and was not vaccinated. King, then 25 years old, had led officers on a high speed chase in the early morning of March 3, 1991 after California High Patrol officers attempted to pull him over for speeding.
