Jimmy Kimmel Hopes Elon Musk Will ‘Roll It Up and Spank’ Trump With His Time Man of the Year Cover | Video

Jimmy Kimmel, unsurprisingly, wasn’t really pleased by Donald Trump being named Time Magazine’s Man of the Year again. But he did also express some sympathy for the convicted felon, because he won’t be able to use the magazine as a sex toy the way he allegedly did with Stormy Daniels. And since Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was the final one of 2024, Kimmel also had some kind wishes for everyone watching. “You know, I’ve been thinking, we know next year is gonna be challenging. We’re about to endure a lot of gaslighting, greed, lying, ignorance, possibly even the…

‘Love Is Blind’ Contestants Classified as Employees by National Labor Board

In a new complaint filed Wednesday, the National Labor Review Board said that contestants on Netflix’s reality competition series “Love Is Blind” should be classified as employees. The complaint, filed from the board’s regional office in Minnesota, says that the show has committed numerous labor law violations, among them contracts that unlawfully included noncompete clauses and confidentiality requirements. Representatives for Netflix didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. If the ruling stands, it has implications for reality TV as an industry, given that reality shows feature people often engaging in real acts with potentially lifelong consequences. For instance, “Love…

Stephen Colbert Nods to Trump Nominees With His Own Health Grift, ‘Pudding Pills’ That Are ‘Too Healthy for FDA Approval’ | Video

Stephen Colbert took a page from, well, a ton of people Donald Trump has nominated for his upcoming second administration, launching his very own health grift, “pudding pills,” which he promised viewers on Tuesday’s “The Late Show” are “too healthy for FDA approval.” “We don’t know exactly what Trump’s appointees are going to do in office, but we know that most of them are doing this right now… unregulated pills,” Colbert joked during his monologue. “Because a bunch of Trump’s nominees are selling vitamins on the side. For starters, Trump’s pick to lead the FBI cash Patel… has been on…

‘Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was’ Review: Actor Roasts Diddy, Fights Tears as He Talks Life-Altering Stroke in Raw Netflix Special

Jamie Foxx tightly controls what information he reveals about himself. The Oscar-winning actor and Grammy-winning singer hasn’t participated in an in-depth magazine profile since 2004. More recently, he dated Katie Holmes for six years and never talked about the relationship publicly. So when he suffered a life-threatening health emergency in April 2023, it wasn’t out of character for him to not share details about what happened. He was waiting until he could tell the story on his own terms, which he finally does in his new Netflix special “What Had Happened Was…” In the tear-jerking special, Foxx — whose persona…

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Somebody Somewhere” Season 3, Episode 7. “Somebody Somewhere” sang its final song, and Bridget Everett said the uplifting performance made for the HBO comedy’s perfect unplanned ending. After three seasons of laughter, music and big emotional lows, the critically-acclaimed series from Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen ended its run with Everett’s Sam inviting her friends and loved ones to a celebration at her bar, where she sang a tearjerking rendition of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus. The song also served as the perfect bow to tie up a standout seven-episode season of “Somebody Somewhere,”…

‘SNL’: Dana Carvey’s Church Lady Grills David Spade’s Hunter Biden – Who Compares Himself to Jesus | Video

“Saturday Night Live” legend Dana Carvey has been back a lot this year — and we’re definitely not complaining — and on the latest “SNL” he led the cold open by bringing back one of the many iconic characters he created for the show: The Church Lady. The whole cold open was an episode of “Church Chat,” the fictional Christian TV show Carvey created back in the 1980s as a parody of the era’s evangelical judgmental moralizing. And Carvey’s Church Lady was joined by another “SNL” legend, David Spade, who played a version of Hunter Biden that compared himself to…

Jimmy Kimmel Jokes that Elon Musk’s Meeting With Congress Had ‘a Lot of Missed High Fives’ | Video

Right wing billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy met with Republicans in congress on Thursday to discuss their incredibly silly, and equally dangerous “Department of Government Efficiency” group. And in his monologue later that night, Jimmy Kimmel joked that among other things the meeting featured “a lot of missed high fives.” You know, because dorks. “Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, the Lenny and Squiggy of Trump Town,” Kimmel said, “met with Republicans in Washington today to discuss their new ‘Department of Government Efficiency.’ We don’t know all of what went on in the meeting. We can assume that there were…

LA Times to Publish ‘Bias Meter’ on News Stories, Owner Says

Patrick Soon-Shiong’s plans to give the Los Angeles Times newsroom a rebirth continue to take shape, this time with the implementation of a so-called “bias meter.” The L.A. Times owner explained his decision to add the artificial intelligence-backed feature with recent editorial board addition, Scott Jennings. The pair discussed the update — which could come as soon as January 2025 — on Jennings’ “Flyover Country” podcast on Wednesday. “Whether in news or opinion … you have a bias meter,” Soon-Shiong said. “So that someone could understand as a reader that the source of the article has some level of bias.”…

Jimmy Kimmel Concedes Biden Promised Not to Pardon Hunter, but ‘There’s a Very Good Chance He Doesn’t Remember’ | Video

Jimmy Kimmel conceded during his monologue on Monday that Joe Biden did indeed promise, very vocally, that he wouldn’t use his presidential pardon power to help his son Hunter out of his legal woes. “But to be fair, there’s a very good chance he doesn’t remember saying that,” Kimmel joked. (Obviously referring to Biden’s age and age-related problems he very visibly had this year.) But before that joke, Kimmel brought people up to speed on the pardon — which you can read about here — and the reaction to it. “Trump has a lot to give thanks for this year,…
