Trump Considers Executive Order to Make FCC Police How Social Media Prioritizes Content (Report)
Donald Trump is considering a sweeping executive order to give the Federal Communications Commission authority to oversee how social media platforms curate content, CNN reported Friday. CNN reported that it has obtained a summary of a draft of the executive order, titled “Protecting Americans from Online Censorship.” According to CNN, the draft makes the claim that the Trump administration has received at least “15,000 anecdotal complaints” about censorship of certain political viewpoints on social media, and will share them with the FCC. Leslie Jones Sets First Netflix Comedy Special for 2020
“Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones is the latest comedian to headline a stand-up special for Netflix. Jones made the announcement during Friday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC. The special will stream on Netflix sometime in 2020 and be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment. Jones is heading into her sixth season on “Saturday Night Live” and will voice the character of Zeta in “Angry Birds 2,” which will hit theaters on Aug. 16.
