No, that wasn’t a parody sketch on “Saturday Night Live” with an unemployed woman (Aidy Bryant) who splurged on crazy-expensive paint from Farrow & Ball. Farrow & Ball really is a “high-end British paint company that offers unparalleled depth and colour,” as Bryant’s character Beth said, and its paints comes in cans that look like the one she showed to her brother Tom (Beck Bennett) and sister-in-law (guest host Kristen Stewart) in the sketch. “It sounds like you’re saying ‘color’ but with a U in it,” Stewart’s character tells Beth about her Brit-style pronunciation of the word. “Well, I am,”…

Colbert Thinks Trump Is Acting Like a Really Stupid Mob Boss (Video)

As he often does, Stephen Colbert devoted some of his monologue on Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Show” to talking about the latest twists and turns in the ongoing impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump. And Colbert’s conclusion is that Trump is acting like a really dumb mob boss. During the bit, Colbert talked about the testimony earlier this week of Alexander Vindman. The testimony was “a bombshell,” Colbert said, because according to the New York Times, Vindman told Congress that the official White House transcript of Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian president “omitted crucial words and phrases.” “This is…

Colbert Isn’t as Impressed With Trump as Trump Is With Himself After Al-Baghdadi Raid (Video)

Stephen Colbert might be willing to give credit where credit is due regarding the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, but during his “The Late Show” monologue on Monday Colbert still took a moment to point out how weird Donald Trump’s celebratory press conference was. On Sunday, Trump held a nearly 50-minute press conference in which, among other things, he repeated called the military operation that led to al-Baghdadi’s death “the big one,” “the biggest their is” and so on, and said it was bigger and more important than the assassination of Osama bin Laden. “You know how I…
